Steinstossen (Stone Throw) - Introduced in Germany in 1860 as a track and field event. Competitors hurl large stones weighing anywhere from 75lbs to 180lbs to see who can throw it the greatest distance.
Keg Press - In this competition, competitors see how many times they can press a loaded keg weighing anywhere between 175lbs and 225lbs above their head in 60 seconds.
Keg Hold - Competitors see who can hold a loaded keg out in front of them the longest.
It’s the strongman’s stein hold!
Keg Toss - This event is all about raising the bar! Competitors heave a pony keg weighing anywhere from 25lbs to 45lbs as high as they can to clear the bar.
Steinheben (Bavarian stone lift) - This one is the grandaddy of them all! We use a 508lb stone, stick a handle in it and see how high our competitors can lift it. Sounds simple, its anything but! |
